Being overweight or obese is defined as having an excess amount of fat tissue, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).<\/p>\n
Overweight or obesity is a major health problem worldwide, as the number of people suffering from these conditions\u00a0is still\u00a0on the increase.<\/p>\n
A person can be overweight, but not be considered obese. A solution\u00a0to determine if a person is considered obese is by looking at his body mass index (BMI).<\/p>\n
Body Mass Index is the ratio between weight\u00a0(kg) and the square of the height (m\u00b2)\u00a0:<\/p>\n
